Transfer Service

As part of our video services, we offer a transfer service. Below are examples of the type of transfers we do and some example pricing. Please enquire about any other service you are looking for.

We must emphasise, we take great care in handling all material supplied to us for these services.

Cine Transfers

A popular service where we transfer Super 8 and Standard 8 cine film onto DVD, or any other required media.

Charges are calculated by the amount of film, in feet, that we transfer.
Super and Standard 8 film came back from the developers on a 50' spool. These measures about 3" (7.5cm) in diameter. Some of these may have been put together onto a bigger spool. Up to 400' of film can fit onto the biggest spools.  On the side of these larger spools you can find markings to show you how much film has been put on them.

Charges start from £25 for the first 100' and then £2.50 per 50', however there are discounts for larger orders.

An order for 500' of cine would be £45:
£25 for the first 100' and £20 for the next 400'

Extra copies of the DVD can be done for £5 each if carried out with order.  We can fit up to 2 hrs. of film onto each DVD (roughly 800' of film).

Tape Transfers

We can also transfer a variety of video tape onto DVD.
i.e. VHS, VHSc, Video 8, Hi 8, Mini DV and full size DV tape.

Charges for straight copies from tape to DVD and £12 per 2hrs.

Tape Repair

We also have a good success rate at repairing damaged tapes. This service normally costs a standard £25.
